Procedure

Following are the procedures for applying to Junior Kindergarten through 8th Grade at the Hebrew Academy:

  1. Contact one of our administrators who will meet with you and arrange a school tour:
    • For 1st through 8th Grades, contact Moshe Vaknin, Head of School (973-584-5530, ext 3021 or mvaknin@hamc.org) or Cheryl Bahar, Dean of General Studies (973-584-5530, ext 3011 or cbahar@hamc.org)
    • For JK through Kindergarten, contact Ricki Rubin, Director, Lillie Brandt Early Childhood Center (973-584-5530, ext 3017 or rrubin@hamc.org)
  2. Complete an Application for Admission and include the following:
    • Application Fee
    • Record of Immunizations
    • Student Records/Transcripts
    • Teacher Assessments
  3. Appointments will be made for you and your child to meet with one or more of the following:
    • Moshe Vaknin, Head of School
    • Dr. Cheryl Bahar, Dean of General Studies
    • Ricki Rubin, Director, Lillie Brandt Early Childhood Center
  4. Meet with Jill Granik, Director of Operations, to discuss tuition assistance options (if applicable).
  5. Receive notification of admission decision.
  6. If accepted, complete enrollment packet (include application for tuition assistance if applicable).
